Shabak to detain Palestinians for 96 hours before trial

West Bank, ALRAY - Israeli occupation ministerial committee for legislation discuss Sunday a law gives the Israeli police and  Israel Security Agency , Shabak the authorities to seize the suspected of carrying out attacks for 96 hours before being appear for trial.   

The proposed law is an alternative for the used law, which allow seizing the suspects for 48 hours; the law also give the court the authority to extend the arrest of the suspects if he does not appear before the court.

Shabak handed information to Knesset pointing out that around 169 Palestinians were arrested during the first term of this year and were interrogated, but just three of them exceeds the legal period.

However, Shabak gave no information about the second term of the year. 

Since 2006, Israeli occupation authorities set a group of laws as it failed to approve terrorism law.
